First Chapter Studio began with a simple thought: every family deserves beautiful photographs of the moments they never want to forget.
I've always loved the way a photograph holds onto something we might otherwise miss. A tiny hand wrapped around a parent's finger. The way a newborn curls up when they're sleeping. The look between two parents as they hold their baby together.
Welcoming a baby comes with so many new experiences and expenses, and I don't believe families should feel pressured into spending more than they're comfortable with to preserve those early memories. That's why First Chapter is built around clear collections, honest launch prices and an experience that feels relaxed from beginning to end.
I'm currently welcoming families into sessions in their own homes, while our private studio in Ongar is finished ready for December. I can't wait to meet the families who become part of our beginning.

Sessions are baby-led, with feeding and settling breaks whenever needed. We only use poses appropriate to your baby's comfort, and every session is planned around the people in it.
